Westlake Porter Library receives piece of World Trade Center Steel for 9/11 remembrance wall
“…We’re honored to be selected to receive this piece of steel, said Elaine Willis, public relations associate for Porter Library. Christina’s parents had elected to donate funds to create a corner in her memory.
Ryook loved the library and loved children, Willis said. And because of that connection, the application to receive a piece of the original World Trade Center complex was accepted.
The piece of steel will be a permanent fixture in the lobby of Porter Library, along with a photo of Ryook, Willis said…”
